01 What is at Jebel Dhanna

Jebel Dhanna is ADNOC Onshore's main marine crude oil export terminal on the Persian Gulf coast, fed by the Main Oil Lines that carry crude from the major onshore fields such as Bab and Bu Hasa to the coast. Rather than producing oil, the terminal stores incoming crude grades and loads them onto tankers through offshore single point moorings. Keeping a facility of this scale running calls for a steady inbound supply chain: fuel for on-site plant and equipment, process chemicals and consumables, water, and a constant flow of pipe, spares and project or maintenance equipment. It is the coastal endpoint of the ADNOC Onshore system and one of the busiest industrial destinations on the western corridor.

02 A coastal crude export terminal

What sets Jebel Dhanna apart is that it is a destination, not a field. Sitting on the remote Al Dhafra coast beside the Ruwais industrial complex — roughly 220km west of Abu Dhabi city — it is where crude leaves the country, loaded onto tankers at offshore single point moorings. That makes the inbound work different from a drilling site: the loads lean toward project cargo, structural steel, large-diameter pipe, valves and maintenance equipment for the tank farm, jetties and loading systems, rather than day-to-day drilling consumables. We plan these movements around the terminal's access windows and the long haul out along the coastal corridor.

03 Cleared, tracked and HSE-first

Jebel Dhanna sits inside a secured ADNOC industrial zone, so drivers and vehicles need valid CICPA passes to enter. Our crews are CICPA-cleared and ADSD-certified, the fleet is ADNOC-approved and IVMS-monitored, and any hazardous load moves under Civil Defence permits on approved routes with the correct ADR paperwork. With current documentation and an HSE-first operation, oversized and project cargo clears terminal security cleanly.
