Certified Rigger & Banksman Supply for ADNOC Lifting Operations in Abu Dhabi
Decent Way supplies certified riggers, banksmen (signallers) and lifting supervisors in Abu Dhabi for ADNOC and oil & gas lifting operations. Crews are trained to ADNOC HSE standards by ADNOC-approved third-party bodies, CICPA-cleared for restricted field sites, and can be deployed on their own or alongside our cranes and lowbed trailers as a single lifting package.
Approved, cleared & compliant
What is the difference between a rigger and a banksman?
A rigger prepares and secures the load; a banksman directs the lift. The rigger selects and inspects slings, shackles and lifting gear, calculates the load, and rigs it so the centre of gravity is controlled. The banksman — also called a signaller — is the person the crane operator watches: they give the standard hand or radio signals, keep the load path clear, and are the single point of communication during the lift.
On larger or higher-risk lifts a lifting supervisor sits above both, holding the lift plan and the go/no-go decision. On ADNOC sites these roles are kept distinct so that no one person is both rigging the load and signalling the crane.
- Rigger — inspects and rigs the lifting gear, controls the load and centre of gravity
- Banksman / signaller — sole communication point, directs the crane operator
- Lifting supervisor — holds the lift plan and the go/no-go call on complex lifts
- Roles kept separate on ADNOC sites — one person does not both rig and signal
Are your riggers and banksmen certified to ADNOC standards?
Yes. Our riggers, banksmen and lifting supervisors are trained and assessed to ADNOC HSE standards by ADNOC-approved third-party bodies, and we hold their certification on file. When you request crews we share the certificate copies for the individuals being deployed, so you can verify competency against your permit-to-work before they mobilise.
We do not quote certificate numbers publicly or claim any credential a worker does not hold. Every person we send to a live lift carries valid third-party rigging or signalling certification appropriate to the lift category, plus the site inductions and medicals that ADNOC sites require.

Do your crews have CICPA clearance for restricted field sites?
Yes. Our personnel are CICPA-cleared, which is what lets them enter the restricted onshore fields where most ADNOC lifting happens. Rather than clearance being a separate hurdle you have to arrange, it is already in place — the same as it is for our drivers and vehicles.
From our Musaffah base we mobilise crews across the Al Dhafra field sites and the wider Abu Dhabi region, including the deep-field locations below. Distances help you plan mobilisation time and shift cover.
- Habshan — 150 km from our Musaffah base
- Bu Hasa — 190 km · ASAB — 210 km
- Ruwais / Jebel Dhanna — 240 km · Barakah — 250 km
- Shah — 270 km · Qusahwira — 330 km
- Bab — 140 km · Mirfa / Hameem — 120 km · Sahil — 180 km

Can you supply riggers together with cranes and transport?
Yes — this is where supplying lifting crews from a transport company pays off. You can take riggers and banksmen as manpower-only, or bundle them with our cranes and lowbed trailers so the lift and the move are one contract, one HSE interface and one point of accountability.
A typical bundled package covers the equipment onto a 3-axle lowbed (around 40–60 t) or 4-axle lowbed (around 80 t), the crane for the lift, and the crew who rig and signal it. For heavier picks, 100 t-plus loads or SPMT/modular work we arrange the additional equipment by arrangement. Because the crew, crane and trailer come from one supplier, the method statement and lift plan line up instead of being split across vendors.
How do you keep lifting operations safe on site?
Every lift runs off a documented lift plan and risk assessment before the crane is rigged. On ADNOC sites the work is tied to the permit-to-work system, and our crews follow the client toolbox talk, exclusion zones and the standard signalling protocol so the crane operator takes direction from one banksman only.
Gear is inspected before use and lifting accessories carry current third-party test certification. Our lifting vehicles run IVMS GPS, and where the scope involves hazardous areas our ADR-permitted, Civil Defence-compliant capability supports work near live process plant. Competency records, method statements and equipment certificates are provided up front so your HSE team can approve the job without chasing paperwork.
- Documented lift plan and risk assessment before rigging
- Work tied to the site permit-to-work system
- One banksman as the single signalling point to the operator
- Lifting gear inspected with current third-party test certificates
- IVMS GPS on lifting vehicles; ADR / Civil Defence capability near live plant
How is rigger and banksman supply arranged and billed?
Crews are supplied on a manpower-hire basis — per shift, per project, or on a longer dedicated assignment — with the workers remaining under our sponsorship and MOHRE-compliant employment while working under your site supervision. That keeps visa, payroll and labour compliance on our side.
We run day and night shifts, so a lifting campaign can continue around the clock with rotated crews rather than stopping at the end of a single shift. Because we are a locally based Musaffah company, using our crews and fleet supports your ICV score; our ICV certification is in progress. We do not publish day rates — the number depends on the number of crew, the lift category, shift pattern and site, so we quote each request directly.

Request certified lifting crews
Tell us the site, the lift scope and the dates, and we will put forward CICPA-cleared riggers and banksmen — on their own or with our cranes and lowbeds — usually within 2 business hours. Send the request through the quote form, call +971 58 227 4083, or reach us on WhatsApp. Share the equipment weight and dimensions, the field site (Habshan, Ruwais, ASAB or other), the shift pattern and whether you need crew-only or a full lifting package, and we will match the right crew and gear to the job.
Frequently asked questions
Do you supply riggers and banksmen without cranes?
Yes. We supply riggers, banksmen/signallers and lifting supervisors as manpower-only when you already have cranes on site, or as a bundled package with our cranes and lowbed trailers. Either way the crew is CICPA-cleared and trained to ADNOC HSE standards.
What certification do your riggers hold?
Our riggers and banksmen are trained and assessed to ADNOC HSE standards by ADNOC-approved third-party bodies, appropriate to the lift category. We provide the certificate copies for the individuals being deployed so your team can verify competency against the permit-to-work before mobilisation.
Which field sites can your lifting crews reach?
From our Musaffah base we mobilise CICPA-cleared crews across the Abu Dhabi field sites, including Habshan (150 km), Bu Hasa (190 km), ASAB (210 km), Ruwais and Jebel Dhanna (240 km), Barakah (250 km), Shah (270 km) and Qusahwira (330 km), plus Bab, Mirfa/Hameem and Sahil.
Can you cover night-shift or around-the-clock lifting campaigns?
Yes. Our operations run 24/7 across day and night shifts, so a lifting campaign can continue with rotated crews instead of stopping at the end of a single shift. Tell us the shift pattern you need and we will build the crew rota around it.
Who supervises the crew on site?
The crew works under your site supervision and permit-to-work while remaining under our sponsorship and MOHRE-compliant employment. For larger lifts we can supply a lifting supervisor who holds the lift plan and the go/no-go decision, coordinating with your HSE and permit authority.
How fast can you mobilise a lifting crew?
We answer quote requests within 2 business hours during office hours (Mon–Fri 08:00–16:00), and because our crews and fleet are CICPA-cleared and locally based in Musaffah, mobilisation to the field sites is quick. Send the scope early and we will confirm crew availability and timing.
